Your spine is made up of small bones called vertebrae, separated by soft discs that cushion movement. If a vertebra shifts out of place (due to injury, stress, or poor posture), it can put pressure on these discs and pinch nearby nerves. This is called a subluxation.
Subluxations can cause nerve irritation, pain, inflammation, and even interfere with how your body communicates with itself—leading to a wide range of symptoms in different areas of the body.
